Postbox is one of the oldest alternative email clients for Mac and Windows out there, once characterized by an outdated user interface. A general UI overhaul has considerably improved Postbox usability, making it a noteworthy choice. Postbox offers a few more features than Airmail, a great email client competitor for Mac indeed. The client focuses more than ever on a more efficient email management thanks to functionalities like “account groups” able to blend or separate personal and work email accounts.
Version 1.1.1, which was released by Postbox Monday, feels a little more at home on Mac OS X. It features the ability to use Spotlight to search for messages and attachments in Postbox and full. In the Mail app on your Mac, choose File Import Mailboxes. Select a source in the list, read the information that appears below the list, then click Continue. If you’re importing a mailbox exported from Mail or a folder in the /Library/Mail/V7 folder on another Mac, select Apple Mail. In the Mail app on your Mac, select one or more mailboxes, then choose Mailbox Export Mailbox. Choose a folder or create a new folder, then click Choose. Mail exports the mailboxes as.mbox packages. If you previously exported a mailbox, Mail doesn’t overwrite the existing.mbox file; it creates a new.mbox file, such as My Mailbox 3.mbox. If Apple’s Mail is the affordable hatchback of e-mail clients, Postbox 2 is the category’s luxury sedan. Handsomely appointed with why-didn’t-anyone-think-of-this-sooner features, Postbox.
Another big plus point is the tab support: you can work on your emails like you do in your web browser, managing specific messages on different tabs. An innovative focus pane offers real-time filters instantly to take a look at unread emails, or on reminders, subscriptions and so on. Custom tags let you arrange your works in topics. Pre-Made Responses is another one of the best features provided by Postbox: you can reuse the same text you often send, saving your time. If you need to save more time, you can take advantage of the Postbox time tracker feature that lets you know how long it takes to compose a message.
No more sending errors: a domain fencing tool prevents you from sending an email from a wrong account. But there’s more: the client helps you target your message by contact. Thanks to a powerful attachments search capabilities, Postbox allows you find and use images and files in your mail, even while you’re composing a new email. Talking about integrations, Postbox works arm in arm with Dropbox, One Drive and Box. It works with best email providers including Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, and iCloud, supporting also POP3, IMAP, and SMTP protocols.
Postbox also shows little flaws: sometimes the interface is cumbersome, the searching icon is still non-retina, and the software lacks native Exchange support. Postbox pricing is reasonable: $15 after a 30-day free trial.
Conclusion
Max msp buy. Postbox is an excellent third-party email client for Mac users thanks to well-thought-out and well-implemented features.

This is a quick step-by-step guide for rebuilding a mailbox in Mac Mail (on macOS High Sierra).
If you have missing messages, cannot find messages via search or the content of your emails is garbled, we recommend taking the following steps and rebuilding your mailbox.
How to rebuild your mailbox
Step 1
Open Mac Mail
Firstly, you'll need to open Mac Mail by clicking on the Mail icon, in your dock.
Step 2
Select your mailbox
Click on the mailbox you wish to rebuild, from the left-hand sidebar. If you cannot see the mailbox sidebar, choose 'View' from the main menu, then from the drop-down menu choose 'Show Mailbox List'.
Step 3
Choose 'Mailbox > Rebuild'
Then simply choose 'Mailbox' from the main menu, then from the drop-down menu choose 'Rebuild'.
This will begin the process of rebuilding your mailbox. When you rebuild your mailbox, copies of your emails stored on your local machine are deleted and downloaded again from your mail server. This process will take a longer time if you have a large mailbox with a lot of messages.
